Lloyd Kelly will play for Juventus at least until the end of the season. The club, through an official statement, announced his signing as the arrival of a "versatile and talented defender who joins the 'Bianconero' team to reinforce the backline".
"Juventus are pleased to annouce the signing of versatile and talented defender Lloyd Kelly, who has signed a loan deal, with an obligation to buy, until 30 June 2025," stated Juventus on X.
A Bristol City youth player, he made his first-team debut in 2017. In 2019, he moved to Bournemouth, where he stayed until 2024, making 141 appearances and scoring 3 goals. This season, he played 14 games in total for Newcastle.
He is the third defender signed by the ‘Vecchia Signora’, who have strengthened their squad with the loan signing of Portuguese Renato Veiga (Chelsea) and the permanent signing of Portuguese Alberto Costa (Vitória Guimaraes).
It is the most depleted line of the team after the long-term injuries of the Colombian Juan Cabal and the Brazilian Gleison Bremer, as well as the termination of the contract of the Brazilian Danilo, captain and key player in recent years.
