Ronald Koeman has had to change his squad in less than 24 hours. Late on Monday he announced the definitive withdrawal of Frenkie de Jong from the squad for the European Championship, although it was not the last one.
Teun Koopmeiners will not be in Germany either. The Dutch midfielder was injured in the warm-up of the match against Iceland and will not be able to play in the continental tournament.

To make up for the absentees, Koeman and the federation have called up Borussia Dortmund">Borussia Dortmund full-back Ian Maatsen, one of the surprises for having been left out of a first definitive list.
It is surprising that the Dutch coach has called up a full-back instead of a midfielder. However, the Netherlands can still call up another player, for the midfield, after Koopmeiners' latest withdrawal.
