Madrid and Girona know their referees for UCL match day 2

UEFA has appointed Italian referee Maurizio Mariani to take charge of Wednesday's Champions League matchday two clash between Lille and Real Madrid. Girona will play Feyenoord under the watchful eye of Urs Schnyder in their first continental encounter at Montilivi.

Italian referee Maurizio Mariani will referee the Lille-Real Madrid Champions League match at the Stade Pierre Mauroy in the French city on Wednesday, while Swiss referee Urs Schnyder will be in charge of the Girona-Feyenoord game.
Mariani will be assisted by Daniele Bindoni and Alberto Tegoni with Andrea Colombo as fourth official and Daniele Chiffi on VAR.
In Montilivi, Schnyder will be assisted by Marco Zucher and Benjamin Zurcher, with Sven Wolfensberger as fourth official and Fedayi San on VAR.
Girona will play at 18.45 in search of their first European victory and Real Madrid at 21.00 with the aim of adding a second victory in this renewed edition of the Champions League.
