Aurelien Tchouameni is now back in Carlo Ancelotti's squad for Wednesday's visit to Athletic Club at San Mames after overcoming the left ankle sprain that has caused him to miss Real Madrid's last four games.
Tchouameni has completed the last two training sessions with his teammates and is fit enough to return to action, his coach confirmed at a press conference, saying he is available to start on Tuesday.
With the Frenchman's return, Ancelotti is keeping Vinicius Junior, Eduardo Camavinga, Dani Carvajal, Eder Militao and David Alaba out of the squad. All five are out of a squad in which, in addition to Asencio, academy right-back Lorenzo Aguado is back.
Moreover, forward Gonzalo Garcia has been called up again by Ancelotti to reinforce the attack. In goal, Sergio Mestre will act as third-choice goalkeeper in place of Fran Gonzalez.
Goalkeepers: Thibaut Courtois, Andriy Lunin and Sergio Mestre

Midfielders: Jude Bellingham, Fede Valverde, Luka Modric, Aurelien Tchouameni, Arda Guler and Dani Ceballos
