Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti appeared at a press conference to discuss the semi-final against Bayern Munich after his side's 2-2 draw in the first leg.
"We have to try to make the best of it, it's a semi-final. We're very excited because it's a great opportunity to reach the final. The difficulties will be many, but we are well and very motivated to do well," Ancelotti told reporters.
The Italian coach indicated that they are "not optimistic" but that they have "great enthusiasm". "There is awareness of the difficulties we will encounter in the match. There is no optimism," he admitted.
Wednesday night's first-choice goalkeeper is going to be Andryi Lunin despite the fact that Courtois played in the game against Cadiz in which Real Madrid became La Liga champions.
"He [Lunin] is going to play. The plan for a player coming back from injury doesn't change because of one game. Courtois is fine, but he needs time to get to his best. He played an optimal game," the coach said.
"It's a day worth living for. That's a very big motivation. It can be complicated if we lose, if there is concern, fear. To experience today, before a semi-final, is spectacular," claimed Ancelotti, who is confident of reaching the final.
