Real Madrid's squad are enjoying a day off on Wednesday following their Champions League last 8 win over Chelsea (0-2 in the second leg and 0-4 on aggregate), pending who will be their opponents in the Champions League and, above all, the medical tests to be carried out on Austrian David Alaba.
The defender was forced off at half-time at Stamford Bridge after suffering discomfort in the calf muscle of his right leg, with Germany's Antonio Rudiger replacing him.
A muscle in which he suffered an injury on 9th January and which kept him sidelined for 25 days, missing seven matches. As a result, Alaba will undergo an MRI scan to determine the extent of his discomfort and whether he will be fit for two key dates in Real Madrid's season.
The first, on 6th May with the Copa del Rey final against Osasuna and the second, the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals against Manchester City or Bayern Munich, to be played on 9th or 10th May, still to be determined by UEFA, at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Brazilian centre-back Eder Militao will not be able to play in the first leg clash against the Sky Blues as he is suspended for accumulation of cards.
