Manchester United have been one of the most active clubs in the Premier League this summer transfer window. After the new signings of Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro, it seems that the Old Trafford outfit are now looking to strengthen their midfield with the arrival of a midfielder.
Adrien Rabiot, whose contract with Juventus has expired, is currently a free agent and can negotiate with any team. Liverpool are another team who have their sights set on the France international midfielder and could enter the race for him.
The Red Devils battled with the Reds for the services of Lille's Leny Yoro, according to 'Football Italia', and it looks like they will once again have an office battle to see which club convinces the former Juve man.
Newcastle are also reportedly interested in the 29-year-old, who has become a target player after having a great European Championship with France, starting five of Deschamps' side's six games.
Along with the Premier League's top clubs, who are also keeping an eye on this market opportunity, Carlo Ancelotti's Real Madrid are among those hoping to convince the player. Rabiot's role in the Spanish capital would be that of a quality understudy, but the ‘Merengue’ side would use his arrival to plug the gap in the rotation left by Toni Kroos with his retirement.
Ancelotti would give the green light for the move, having handed Rabiot his debut when he was just 17 years old in 2012 when he coached PSG. However, given Los Blancos' need to reinforce their squad with a centre-back, perhaps this is an unnecessary move and they will focus on other targets.
