Real Madrid will be putting La Liga to one side to concentrate on the Club World Cup, a trophy which they will be hoping to lift for the fourth consecutive time (the eighth in total). The 'Merengues' will have six injuries to deal with, but they are confident Militao and Benzema will be available for a potential final.

Real Madrid have put La Liga to one side after their loss against Mallorca which left them eight points behind Barcelona, and with Courtois, Militao, Lucas Vazquez, Ferland Mendy, Eden Hazard and Karim Benzema out, they have started to prepare for the Club World Cup two days before their first game.
Before going to Rabat, where they will go up against Al Ahly in the semi-finals, the Madrid side completed their only training session at Valdebebas. Carlo Ancelotti put the players who started at Son Moix to one side from the rest of the squad, as they had a recovery session.
The reduced group without the starts and injured players trained at a higher intensity on an afternoon which they started in the gym with strengthening work before going onto the pitch where, according to the side's website, they did some passing and pressing exercises before some short sprints.
Madrid are looking for their fourth consecutive Club World Cup without Courtois, Militao, Lucas Vazquez, Mendy, Hazard and Benzema for the semi-final.
Ancelotti is hoping he will have back for the final, if they get there, Militao and Benzema, while they will know on Tuesday if the muscle problem Courtois suffered in Mallorca will allow him to be fit next Saturday or whether he will be out of two consecutive games.
