Madrid squad list for Real Sociedad: Hazard back
Real Madrid have confirmed their squad list for the league game against Real Sociedad. Eden Hazard is the only change. Carlo Ancelotti has not called upon any academy players, and Dani Carvajal has been left out as a precaution. There were no doubts that Lucas Vazquez was going to miss the game.

Eden Hazard's return to the squad list is the only new aspect that manager Carlo Ancelotti has called upon, as Dani Carvajal is not back in time. He has also lost Ferland Mendy after the cup derby and David Alaba, Aurelien Tchouameni and Lucas Vazquez are all still out.
Hazard returns to a Real Madrid squad-list after getting over his twisted ankle. Ancelotti had erred on the side of caution with Dani Carvajal after the defender had picked up a few muscle problems and, even though he has returned to training with the group, he will not be in action until next Thursday against Valencia.
In the mean time, Austrian David Alaba is still with his calf problems which he was meant to be over for the tie against Atletico Madrid, and he will miss the Real Sociedad game. What is more, Frenchman Aurelien Tchouameni is going through the final stages of recovery from his calf injury.
Lucas Vazquez will still be out for a few weeks with the sprained ankle which he suffered in the Spanish Super Cup, while Frenchman Mendy, the latest Madrid man to pick up an injury, has problems with his hamstring.
Despite Ancelotti having a lot of defenders out, he has not called up any academy players, and he goes into the game with Odriozola, Nacho Fernández, Éder Militao, Rüdiger and Jesús Vallejo ready to play. The only player of the academy called up is midfielder Mario Martin, who made his debut with the first team in the Copa del Rey and Sergio Arribas is out after featuring in the derby.
