Madrid's Rudiger on Haaland duel and Havertz rumours
Antonio Rudiger, called up by the German national team, spoke this Saturday in the press room and recalled his battle with Erling Haaland in the Madrid-City Champions League match on the day of the final. The defender also made no secret of the fact that he would like to meet Havertz at club level.

Real Madrid, although still technically holders of the Champions League title, lost out on a chance to defend it after being wiped out in the semi-finals against Man City.
Looking back at the encounters across both legs, although Madrid lost, defender Antonio Rudiger put in a real shift to lock down goal-machine Erling Haaland and did such a good job, he managed to deny the Norwegian any goals across the 180 minutes played.
Rudiger, currently playing with the German national squad, looked back on the duel when he spoke on Saturday to the press, hours before the final kicked off.
"I really like trash talking and he does too. It was a good battle, I enjoyed it. I just told him that I liked it... it wasn't that bad", said the defender.
Rudiger also commented on the rumours flying about the potential interest of Madrid in his fellow German Kai Havertz and did not hide the fact that he would like to play with him at club level again - they played together at Chelsea previously - but did not go into more details.
"I would be happy if I could play again with Kai at club level. Unfortunately I can't say much more than that ... because regarding the transfers, I don't have anything to say about the club's decisions", he finished.
