Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has not called up Karim Benzema for Tuesday's match against Real Sociedad in La Liga. The Italian has counted on four academy players for this showdown.
"Benzema will play if he feels well. He is a bit tired but he will play if he recovers. There will be no rotation, only for the absentees," said the 63-year-old at the pre-match press conference.
The Italian coach has decided that Benzema will be rested for the Copa del Rey final against Osasuna and will not play on Tuesday. Eduardo Camavinga and Vinicius will also be unavailable due to suspension.
Ferland Mendy and Luka Modric are still injured and have yet to recover. As a result, the Madrid coach has called up Raul Gonzalez, Sergio Arribas, Carlos Dotor, Nico Paz, who play for the academy, and Alvaro Rodriguez.
Goalkeepers: Courtois, Lunin and Luis Lopez
Defenders: Carvajal, Militao, Vallejo, Nacho Fernandez, Odriozola, Lucas Vazquez and Rudiger
Midfielders: Kroos, Valverde, Tchouameni, Ceballos, Dotor, Arribas and Nico Paz
Strikers: Hazard, Asensio, Rodrygo, Mariano and Alvaro Rodriguez
