Fede Valverde, who scored a brace in Real Madrid's win over Milan in their first pre-season match in North America, spoke to the media after the game. When asked about Kylian Mbappe, the Uruguayan acknowledged that he enjoys his football, but limited himself to praising him and not giving any hints about a hypothetical move.

Fede Valverde, who scored a brace in Real Madrid's first pre-season game on Sunday, said that Kylian Mbappe, whose name is still being rumoured as a possible addition to the club, is now one of the best players in the world and will surely be one of the best in the world for years to come.
"Well, I can tell you very little.... I'm a Real Madrid player and, for me, Mbappe is obviously one of the best in the world. Not just now, but for many years to come, he's surely going to be one of the best," the Uruguayan told the media in the mixed zone. "As a football fan, I enjoy watching him play. And well, as a Real Madrid player, I try to defend this crest and be ready for whatever comes next.
Madrid kicked off their pre-season tour of the USA on Sunday with a 3-2 comeback win over Milan thanks to a brace from Valverde and a third and final goal from Vinicius Jr. The Uruguayan, after his brace, joked about his goalscoring targets for this season, as last term Carlo Ancelotti challenged him to score at least 10 goals and the midfielder delivered.
"I have to wait and see what the coach tells me. I have to score the goals he tells me to score: 10 or 15", he ironised. Valverde also referred to the club's new signings, players such as Jude Bellingham and Brahim, who impressed against Milan.
"We have given the new signings an incredible welcome. They are great people and players," he said. "When you have quality, as is the case with the players who have arrived, it's easier to fit in. I think that, if we all pull together, it's going to be a great year.
