Malo Gusto is enjoying his first season in the Premier League after leaving France and moving from Olympique Lyon to Chelsea at the age of 20.
The French player has made his place in Pochettino's starting eleven and was called up to the France national team for what was his debut for Didider Deschamps' side.
Having overcome an injury and being so young, the player needed some time to adapt to his new club and it seems he is doing so thanks to the help of manager Mauricio Pochettino.
"The plan for Malo Gusto was that of a 19-year-old player who had come from another league, France, and there were circumstances where a young kid needed time," explained the Chelsea boss.
The Argentinian coach has also received praise from the French full-back. "It’s a pleasure (working with Pochettino), he has helped me a lot. He has given me his confidence and I try to return it on the pitch. He is very good for this type of team and we are very happy to have him at the club," said Gusto.
