Manchester City could only salvage a point from their crucial home game against an Arsenal side reduced to ten men for the entire second half, but it was not the only bad news for the Sky Blues on Sunday.
The Cityzens suffered another injury setback after Rodri was forced off the pitch following a collision with Thomas Partey in the corner. The Spaniard is undoubtedly one of the most important players in the Mancunian squad, as the Premier League champions' infrequent slips always arise when the Spaniard has been sidelined with injury.
Sky Blues boss Pep Guardiola said after the game that they did not yet know the extent of the Spain international's injury, so they will have to wait for the results of tests.
"I don't know yet, I didn't ask the doctors," said Guardiola. "Rodri is strong. He leaves the pitch in this action because he felt something, otherwise Rodri stays there. He's the best holding midfielder in the world, he is a potential Ballon d'Or winner, I would love for him to win.
"But it happened in the first minutes. These games with Arsenal are like that and we have to handle it. We did it. We did really good things," concluded the Spanish coach.
