The summer is beginning and new rumours are starting to emerge linking players to possible new destinations, although in the vast majority of transfer windows the same rumour of a player heading to a new club is sometimes repeated, as is the case with Bernardo Silva and FC Barcelona.
The Manchester City midfielder has been on the radar of the ‘Cules’ since last summer, although the Spanish club's poor financial situation and the English club's refusal to let the player leave has made it impossible for the Portuguese to leave the Cityzens.
However, rumours have resurfaced this summer that Silva could play under Hansi Flick next season, although they have been short-lived after Sky Blues coach Pep Guardiola confirmed that the club have not received any calls from the Catalan giants and that he expects him to stay at the Mancunian club.
"There are many rumours in the press on Bernardo but no one has called us so far. We’ve received NO calls from Barcelona or any other club. He’s a wonderful player, I hope he’s gonna stay with us at Manchester City," said the Spanish coach.
