Manchester City faced a tough test against Brighton at the Etihad. The Sky Blues came into the game on the back of two consecutive defeats to Arsenal and Wolves respectively and Guardiola's side were not looking to suffer a third successive domestic defeat.
The Cityzens came out all guns blazing against a Seagulls side who were already 1-0 down in the seventh minute. After a great Jeremy Doku move, the winger found Julian Alvarez unmarked on the penalty spot, who slotted past Steele.
Just 10 minutes later, the home side struck again through Haaland. The Norwegian striker received on the edge of the box and extended his team's lead with a powerful low shot at the near post.
In this way, Manchester City's two attacking beasts have combined for 16 goals in total this season so far, nine goals for the former Dortmund man and seven for the Argentina international.
