Champions League winners Manchester City will take on seven-time Europa League champions Sevilla on 16th August at the Georgios Karaiskakis stadium in Greece for the UEFA Super Cup 2023.
The Spanish side found their Europa League magic formula, beating Roma 4-1 on penalties in Budapest to make it a perfect seven out of seven in finals in the competition.
And Rodri's 68th-minute strike proved enough for City to finally get their hands on club football's biggest trophy, despite having to ride their luck as Inter missed several second-half chances.
For the English side it will be their first UEFA Super Cup, while Sevilla won it in 2006 with a 3-0 win over Barcelona and lost it on five occasions (2007, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2020). The winner will overtake Real Madrid, who won it 2-0 against Eintracht Frankfurt in Helsinki in 2022.
