Manchester City's new signing Nico Gonzalez will be available to play against Real Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League play-offs, despite having to be substituted on his debut with a knock in the Sky Blues' win over Leyton Orient.

Nico Gonzalez made headlines in the winter transfer window when he decided to swap Porto for Manchester City in a 60 million euro deal. Pep Guardiola considered the Spanish midfielder key to bolstering an injury-plagued squad.
In fact, the Spanish coach used the 23-year-old midfielder as a starter to make his FA Cup debut against Leyton Orient. However, it was not the dream debut for the former Porto man as he had to be replaced in the 22nd minute by Bernardo Silva after suffering a knock.
Manchester City fans feared the player could have a minor hip injury that would prevent him from playing in the first leg of the Champions League play-offs against Real Madrid at the WEtihad Stadium.
However, the Cityzens confirmed that the Spanish midfielder will be available against the 'Merengues' by posting a picture of him with others of Marmoush and Kushanov with the caption ‘All set for a first Champions League’ outing in blue.
