Como, coached by Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas, have signed Argentinian midfielder Maximo Perrone on loan from Manchester City on Sunday.
"Como 1907 is delighted to announce that Maximo Perrone will join the club on loan from Manchester City. The creative midfielder joins the club after an excellent pre-season on a one-year loan deal with option to extend."
The 21-year-old midfielder, an Argentina youth international, spent last season on loan at Las Palmas.
Fabregas, who after the 3-0 defeat to Juve on the opening day of Serie A blamed the defeat largely on his side's lack of quality, said Perrone's arrival ‘is exciting’ because of his versatility.
"His recent pre-season performances have shown his link-up play and creativity in midfield," he added. For his part, the new arrival said he was ‘very happy’ about his signing.
"I think this is a necessary step for my career to grow. I like the coach's ideas and the style of play. Como 1907 is a very interesting club, with a quality squad and that's why I decided to come here," he said.
