Mason Greenwood and Joao Felix want to be let out of sight by their current teams. Both Manchester United and Atletico Madrid want to get rid of their players as soon as possible. Both players have experienced delicate situations at their clubs.
The English winger was loaned out to Spanish side Getafe last summer after being discharged of allegations of sexual abuse and violence by his ex-partner. He is contracted to the Red Devils until 2026 but does not want to return to Manchester at the end of his loan spell.
Meanwhile, Joao Felix, who has a contract with Atletico until 2029, has spent two seasons on loan at two different clubs - Chelsea and Barcelona, due to various disagreements with the board and coaching staff. The Portuguese does not get on well with them and is aware that he will not get any playing time there.
As a result, the Premier League club and the La Liga side could come to an agreement on a swap deal that would see both players leave. The Old Trafford outfit are willing to negotiate with the Spaniards to reach an agreement, which would see Felix return to the English top-flight while Greenwood would continue his time in Spain.
