Man Utd accelerate to sign Gakpo

Cody Gakpo has risen in the transfer market thanks to a great World Cup playing for the Netherlands. The striker has scored 12 goals and provided 16 assists in 23 competitive matches.
He was already one of the young talents targeted by several of the big European clubs but his participation in the international competition has increased the number of teams interested in signing him.
According to 'Daily Mail', Manchester United are keeping an eye on him and they have made progress in negotiations with PSV Eindhoven for the player. The Dutch club are asking for 56 million euros for signing him.
However, the 'Red Devils' offered 46 million euros in their latest bid, which was rejected by PSV's board. Real Madrid were also in the race for him but rejected the signing because Gakpo plays on the left wing and they already have Vinicius for that position.
