Alejandro Garnacho was left out of Argentina's squad for their South American World Cup qualifiers despite the 19-year-old having played for the 'Albiceleste' in last October's international break,
Coach Lionel Scaloni was asked at a press conference why he had left out the Manchester United winger. "Alejandro’s non-call up is due to a form issue. During the last calls, he did not have playing time and we have to think about human aspect as well too," he replied.
"He’s on our radar and will be part of our plans," added the Argentine coach, who wanted to make it clear that the player will be included in the next call-ups.
It is true that the 19-year-old winger is not having the best of times at the Red Devils, where he has made 16 official appearances so far this season, making just seven starts and scoring just one goal.
