Real Betis chief executive Ramon Alarcon has revealed that Antony has expressed a desire to remain at the club beyond his current loan spell.

The Brazilian winger, who joined Betis from Manchester United in January, appears to have settled well in Spain and is keen to extend his stay.
Speaking to Canal Sur, Alarcon remarked: "Recently, Antony mentioned to me that he wished to remain for another year. The player feels very comfortable here and was taken aback by the facilities we provided him to help him settle into the city upon his arrival."
With Betis striving for European qualification and Antony playing a pivotal role in their resurgence, a longer stay could be likely. Since arriving in La Liga, the 25-year-old has found a new lease of life, contributing three goals and two assists under Manuel Pellegrini.
His performances have helped lift Betis to sixth in the table, and he was instrumental in their recent win over Real Madrid, playing the full 90 minutes. With 12 league games remaining, his future remains a talking point.
A loan extension could prove to be the best solution for all parties, especially given Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim's doubts about the player's suitability for the Premier League. With the summer transfer window approaching, discussions between Betis and United could soon take place.
