Weghorst was one of the Netherlands' most important players at the World Cup in Qatar. The Dutchman, who was a victim of Messi's famous "what are you looking at, stupid man" after defeat to Argentina, is on Man Utd's radar.
According to 'The Athletic', Man Utd have begun talks with Burnley, his parent club, to count on him for the second half of the season. At the moment, he is on loan at Besiktas.
The previously cited newspaper also says that the Turkish side have an option to buy the player for 10 million euros at the end of the season. Therefore, United would also have to reach an agreement with them if the former Wolfsburg man is to end up at Old Trafford.
Man Utd manager Erik ten Hag really likes the way Weghorst plays. He knows him well from his time in the Netherlands and then also during the World Cup. The 30 year-old could join one of the most historic clubs in England.
