Man Utd are working hard in this January transfer window and they have Weghorst on their radar. He was the player Messi called "stupid" during the World Cup. The striker currently plays for Besiktas on loan from Burnley.
Fabrizio Romano said that the agreement is practically is a done deal, but the president of the Turkish side, Nur Cebi, has halted everything until they can find a subsititute.
"We'll agree to the terms after getting a quality striker. Then, we'll let Weghorst go. Otherwise, he will stay at the club," Cebi said in comments reported by 'Milliyet'.
The footballer who they have in mind is Chilean player Gabriel Suazo, who is currently a free agent. Likewise, Gokmen Ozcan reported that Weghorst did not train on Wednesday with his club.
