Victor Lindelof was expected to leave Old Trafford in the summer transfer window. However, Erik ten Hag wants to continue counting on the Swedish centre-back for the coming campaigns.
The latest reports linked him with a move to Galatasaray but, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Red Devils will not sell Lindelof this summer.
The 29-year-old joined United in the 2017/18 season from Benfica but has not played a prominent role in recent seasons. In fact, the Sweden international sent several hints to the Dutch manager last term.
"Of course like every player, you want to play every game and obviously I haven't done that this season," he said at a press conference when he was on international duty.
Ten Hag prefers Lisandro Martinez or Raphael Varane for the defence. Nonetheless, the 53-year-old has decided not to let him leave this summer as the defender is in his future plans.
