Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag gave fitness updates on Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia ahead of the October international break. The return to action for both full-backs is getting closer and closer.

Manchester United return to Europa League action when they visit Porto in Europa League matchday two, desperate to claim their first win after being unexpectedly held to a draw at Old Trafford by Twente.
The Red Devils will be without Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia, among others, as the full-backs are still recovering from injuries. However, coach Erik ten Hag gave fitness updates on both defenders, whose returns to action are close.
"We hope Luke Shaw can return after the international break quickly, not sure for the first game but soon. Tyrell Malacia makes very good progress on the pitch and now he has to make the step to full team training," he siad.
Looking ahead to the match, the Dutchman was optimistic that the club will return to where it belongs. "This club wants to be back on top and it's a long-term target. We talk every day with the management. Every day we evaluate and review the process and where necessary we make our decisions," he concluded.
