Just months into his life as a Man United player, Joshua Zirkzee is reportedly considering leaving Old Trafford from as early as January. The Dutchman signed for United from Bologna in the summer transfer window for a deal worth £36.5 million. But since his dream-debut, which alluded to a promising start at the club, the striker has failed to impress with the Red Devils.
According to 'Calciomercato.com' journalist Daniele Longo, Zirkzee is open to a return to the Serie A as Juventus are reportedly showing interest in him. The Italians could possibly begin talks over a move in the January transfer window, as per the same report.
That said, Man United are not willing to let go of the 23-year-old on a permanent basis. The Italian giants would therefore be negotiating terms for a potential loan deal, though it is unclear whether United would be open to the idea.
Zirkzee is reportedly worried his minutes could be under jeopardy following the recent return of Rasmus Hojlund from injury. The Norwegian started in United's last game, as he scored to hand his side the win against Brentford in the 62nd minute.
