If the victory against Real Sociedad already caused joy within the dressing room, the fact that Quique Flores continues to recover players who were injured is cause for celebration at the Andalusian club.
After the home win, the team held a recovery session on Sunday prior to the two days' rest that Quique Flores has given them. However, there were four players who attended the training complex on Monday in order to get a head start on their recovery and be available for their coach as soon as possible.
The return of Mariano has been the main addition to the squad as he had been out of action since December due to a knee injury. During his absence, Isaac Romero and En-Nesyri have formed a golden duo that will make things very difficult for the Spanish-Dominican.
Meanwhile, Marcao was another of the players who worked out in the gym on Monday morning. It was on Sunday that the Brazilian made his first appearance with the squad after overcoming a torn anterior rectus muscle in his left thigh.
Lamela and Lukebakio have also taken advantage of their rest day to get ready for the game against Almeria in La Liga. Both players trained with the first team last Thursday. The Argentinian overcame back problems while the Belgian is still recovering from a knee injury that has kept him out of the Sevilla squad since December.
