Real Madrid have a lot of players out of contract at the end of June and there's only one we know of so far who will definitely leave the club. The one and only Mariano Diaz, who is two games away from finishing his career at Real Madrid, since returning in 2018.
Back then, Madrid needed a goalscorer after Cristiano Ronaldo left and the Dominican arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu after a 22 million euro deal with Olympique de Lyon.
However, his move hasn't met expectations and neither Zidane, nor Lopetegui, nor Solari, nor Ancelotti ended up trusting him to produce the goods. In his five years with the club, he has played 70 matches and scored 7 goals. Now, the end is near.
As a free agent, the forward is being showered with offers from European teams, Spanish teams and clubs further afield. His goal is not economic at this point and he is looking for a good project to take on, which could be in La Liga.
In his head, he dreams of taking the stage once more every weekend. Mariano wants the adrenaline of competition again. Some of the teams that were knocking on his door before were Sevilla, Valencia, Getafe and Rayo, but he chose to stay with Madrid.
