Kylian Mbappe and Harry Kane were awarded the Gerd Muller Trophy on Monday for having scored the most goals last season.
Both strikers finished the season with 52 goals, 44 for their respective clubs and eight for their national teams, taking over the trophy from Norway's Erling Haaland.
"I had to move to Germany. It was a new start and I would like to thank those around me, my team-mates, the club," the Briton said of what was his first season at Bayern Munich after a dozen seasons with English club Tottenham.
"From there, we've had some great moments throughout this season. I've scored some goals and had an excellent year," he recapped.
For his part, Mbappe did not collect the award or take the floor due to Real Madrid's announcement that the Spanish team would not be attending the gala.
