Kylian Mbappe continues to be in the spotlight in Europe. The rumours of his transfer to Real Madrid next season are becoming more and more solid and La Liga chief Javier Tebas referred to the subject in an exclusive interview he gave to Fabrizio Romano on Thursday.
The La Liga president was clear and concise about him: "A few weeks ago I said it was around 50%, now it's even more. Every day that passes and he doesn't sign the new contract with PSG, the percentage of his signing for Madrid increases. Yes, I think so: 55-60%," he said.
Javier Tebas also analysed the other names on Madrid's list of possible reinforcements. Among them, Alphonso Davies: "I don't know the costs of the operation for Mbappe. In any case, Madrid have an excellent financial situation. They have never done anything crazy in recent years."
He insisted on what Kylian Mbappe should look for in the future: "I think that at 26 years old he should look for a club with a lot of international brand, that gives you years of contract and that you can build an international name in football. As happens in other sports, the day you leave football, you have a lot of resources. Madrid is a very important brand all over the world, PSG is not yet".
Finally, Javier Tebas praised Florentino Perez as club president: "He has done a great job, but he is a very bad manager of other competitions. As a manager of Madrid I give him a 9, as a manager of the Superliga I give him a 0. It is a very healthy team, it has weathered the COVID crisis very well, it has many reserves."
