Inter Miami striker Lionel Messi allegedly told Kylian Mbappe that he deserved "a real winning project" at either Barcelona or Real Madrid. The Argentinian told him before he left Paris Saint-Germain.

Kylian Mbappe has a contract with Paris Saint-Germain until 2024 but has told his club he will not extend it, and also plans to stay for one more campaign, meaning he can leave as a free agent next summer. As a result, the French side will try to sell him in the next transfer window.
The France international came close to joining Real Madrid last summer but ended up renewing his contract. The 24-year-old wants ambitious plans for his future and will look to join 'Los Blancos' after his time with Galtier's team.
His former teammate Lionel Messi, who has signed for Inter Miami, advised Mbappe to join a team with winning projects like Barcelona or Real Madrid. The alleged conversation between the two players took place before the Argentinian left PSG.
"I prefer that you go to Barcelona. But if you want to go to Madrid, do it, you deserve a real winning project," Messi said.
