The French striker expressed his feelings about the World Cup final defeat to Argentina after PSG's victory over Strasbourg.
"It was a quest of a lifetime for (Messi), for me too, but I lost and you have to show maturity to congratulate (the other team). We will wait for Leo’s return for new victories and goals," the PSG player said.
Mbappe also talked about Argentina's celebrations: "Celebrations are not my problem. I don't waste energy on such futile things. The important thing for me is to give the best of myself for my club, and we will wait for Leo Messi to come back to continue scoring and winning games."
The France international received the support of the French people despite the pain of losing the final. In fact, PSG fans dedicated a banner to him in the middle of the match against Strasbourg.
