Men's football has two important dates this summer. The first will begin in just three weeks with the start of the European Championship. Shortly after it ends, it will be the turn of the Olympic Games in Paris, which is special for all athletes but especially for the French. And for Kylian Mbappe it is no less so.
The Paris Saint-Germain forward, who will leave at the end of the season, has expressed his intention to play in the Olympic Games, but the clubs are not obliged to give up their players, unlike the European Championship.
Real Madrid are one of the most reluctant clubs to let them play since it coincides with the pre-season. And Real Madrid are expected to be Mbappe's next destination.
"The Olympics? I think we'll have to wait. I don't need to tell you my intention, everyone knows. I think we have to let things happen but they will be special, especially in Paris. When I know, what I want is to finish the season well," he told reporters.
What he has not said anything about is his future as Real Madrid want to wait until the Champions League final: "For the moment I'm leaving PSG, that's all you need to know."
