Real Madrid have many important games coming up. Ancelotti's men will face Barcelona in the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey after losing 1-0 in the first leg. Moreover, they will play against Chelsea in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Ferland Mendy will not be available for these matches as the Spanish side have announced on social media that he is suffering from a muscle injury.
"Following tests carried out on our player Ferland Mendy by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a muscle issue in his left calf. His recovery will be monitored," they wrote.
His return will depend on his recovery process but the 27-year-old could be out of action for up to four weeks. Carlo Ancelotti will not be able to count on him and will have to deal with this setback for the next matches.
