"Messi abused ref, Van Gaal and Weghorst. If CR7 had done that..."
Piers Morgan, the journalist who carried out the controversial interview with Cristiano Ronaldo in which he ended up accusing Man Utd of betraying him, gave his opinion the match between the Netherlands and Argentina. He said that Leo Messi was abusive to several members of the opposing team and wonders what would happen if the Portuguese number 7 did the same.

We now know the first semi-final of the World Cup. Croatia will face Argentina in the next round. On Saturday, Portugal will take on Morocco and England will play France for the other two spots.
Journalist Piers Morgan will cheer on Cristiano Ronaldo, who he has interviewed on several occasions. The last one ended up seeing Ronaldo leave Man Utd after he accused the club of betraying him and saying that he would never respect Ten Hag.
Morgan, who watched the match between the Netherlands and Argentina, gave his opinion on the encounter and, more specifically on Messi. Messi slammed some opponents as well as referee Mateu Lahoz.
"Leo Messi abused the referee, the rival coach (Van Gaal) and one of his opponents (Weghorst). Me thinks if Ronaldo did that, it would get a tad more attention," he said on Twitter.
That "stupid man" Argentina's number 10 said to Besiktas attacker Weghorst is causing controversy. Messi also said the referee "was not up to standard" and, lastly, he was seen making gestures to Van Gaal. Because of all that, Messi is in the headlines.
