LaLiga president Javier Tebas never leaves anyone indifferent when he talks about current affairs in Spanish competition. He spoke about Barcelona and their summer transfer window at a 'La Gazzetta dello Sport' event.
"Barcelona have been able to sign reinforcements this summer because they have only spent three million euros. We have rules that force you to sell before you sign. When you save 100 million euros, you can spend 40 million euros.
"Barcelona cannot lose their competitiveness and must move within these rules in order to be able to sign new players," he told reporters. Moreover, the 61-year-old also spoke about the departures of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi from Spanish tournament.
"We move all over the planet, their departures were not a problem. Our stats are still fantastic. We have been working on a strategy to grow the brand, the teams and the tournament. We are a competitive league, partly because of the good performance of our teams in Europe.
"Paris Saint-Germain lost 605 million euros in the last three seasons. They have the title of champions in wasting money. Bayern with Kane, Chelsea and Manchester United have a lot of debt," he concluded.
