The day has arrived. The Qatar World Cup is about to get underway with the opening game which will see Qatar take on Ecuador. Nevertheless, many teams are waiting until the last minute to see whether some of their players will be able to play.
One of those who was most in the headlines was Leo Messi. The Argentinian star did not train together with the rest of his teammates in the first few training sessions, but on his own.
Alarm bells quickly set off in Argentina as there were fears the number 10 was injured. However, that was not the case.
As 'Marca' said, Messi is in perfect condition and he will be available for the opener against Saudi Arabia on Tuesday. It is all due to the fact that Scaloni tried to not overwork the PSG man so that he did not pick up a muscle injury.
That is the reason why the Argentinian star has trained on his own in the first few training sessions. The number 10 will be 100% and will be the main man for Argentina as he looks to win his first ever World Cup.
