Messi or Ronaldo? Cole Palmer settles the debate

Cole Palmer is quickly cementing his name as a world class player in modern football. The 22-year-old has been lighting it up in the Premier League ever since his move from Man City to the Bridge in the summer of 2023.
After bagging 40G G/A in 45 appearances in the previous season for Chelsea, Palmer currently counts 11 G/A in 9 games in this season so far, alongside a history-making four first-half goals against Brighton, which have earned him the Premier League Player of the Month award for September.
In a quick chat with 'GOAL', the forward was asked the million-dollar question about the greatest player in football. Palmer did not hesitate as he gave his verdict between the Argentine and the Portuguese.
“I wanted to be Lionel Messi when I was a kid," he revealed before answering the question. “Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo? For me, Lionel Messi”.
