Their rivalry is without doubt one of the biggest in sports history. Although it's slightly less nowadays after Cristiano Ronaldo moved to Saudi Arabia, they still have a number of records to their names. Against Lens, Messi equalled Ronaldo on one of them, and should soon overtake him.

Scorer of PSG's third goal against Lens (3-1), Lionel Messi wrapped up the Parisian win thanks to a great team goal. It was well set up by a majestic Kylian Mbappe back-heel, and the Argentine gave Paris the victory, getting them a step closer to the title.
During the game, the 'Pulga' equalled another record held by Ronaldo. The Argentinian world champion scored his 495th goal in the five big European leagues (calculated by UEFA). Ronaldo was the first to reach that figure after he got 103 in England, 81 in Italy and 311 in Spain.
Now at Al Nassr, it's unlikely that CR7 will go back to another European side, therefore meaning he won't be able to ever improve those stats.
As for Messi, he should be able to score again in Paris, meaning he'll soon be overtaking his Portuguese rival. Is this the end of the GOAT debate?
