It looks like it will be a long time before we see a Messi and Cristiano encounter again. After the embrace between the two after the friendly between Saudi Arabia's top players and PSG, the Middle East has been talking about the possible future of the Argentine star in these lands.
Ibrahim Alkassim, secretary general of the Saudi Football Federation, took the PSG striker away from the Saudi league. "At the moment, we don't know anything about a possible arrival of Leo Messi," he told 'Marca'.
However, Ibrahim Alkassim admits he would be delighted to see him playing soon: "I make no secret of the fact that, as a Saudi Federation, we would like to have him in the national league one day.
A response that follows rumours that place Messi at Al Hilal, a club that would offer the striker 278 million a year to move to Saudi Arabia. However, it doesn't look like that will happen, as according to the latest reports, the '10' is very close to renewing his contract with PSG.
In Saudi Arabia they are resigned to the fact that, at least for the time being, they will not be able to count on Messi. You never know what might happen in the future...
