With less than two weeks to go until the World Cup, technology and artificial intelligence has done its work. And EA Sports have predicted who will win the World Cup, the tournament's top goalscorer and assister.
The platform who make the videogame FIFA claim that it will be Argentina who lift the trophy and it will be a blockbuster final, beating Brazil 1-0 thanks to a Leo Messi goal, who will also scoop top goalscorer, with eight in total.
On route, Argentina will beat Denmark (2-1), The Netherlands (0-1) and France (1-0). Brazil will knock-out South Korea (3-0), Germany (0-3) and Portugal on penalties after a 0-0 draw.
As for Spain, EA Sports claimed that Luis Enrique's side will not get far, and they will lose to Croatia in the last-16, who will go on to lose against Ronaldo's Portugal in the next round.
The top goalscorers in this World Cup will be Messi (8) and Memphis Depay and Mbappe (6) for The Netherlands and France respectively. What is interesting is that this same system correctly predicted the winners of South Africa 2010 (Spain), Brazil 2014 (Germany) and Russia 2018 (France).
