According to what 'Marca' have reported, PSG already have things in place for Leo Messi's new contract. They want the Argentine to retire from football in Paris which therefore means they will spend big all while hoping to get something back for themselves.

Leo Messi's renewal is getting closer and closer. The Argentinian, who could get back to playing for his side this Wednesday against Angers, ends his current contract at the end of the season and, despite it not always being that clear, it is looking like he will be staying at the Parc des Princes.
The number 30 finally got his dream at the last World Cup. His long-awaited desire to lift the trophy with Argentina made him rethink the idea of retiring from top flight football which he was previously considering. The MLS will one day welcome Messi, but not yet, and a return to Barcelona, despite being the club's dream, could not be further from happening.
Therefore, the man from Rosario's appetite to play more great nights of football in competitive leagues has grown. And he knows he will get them in Paris, which is why it is clear he is going to say 'yes' to PSG. The French side, after a lot of work and patience, will soon have their reward.
According to 'Marca', the club are to make him an offer, where they will have to spend big to reward a Leo who, being World Champion, has gone up in value. He currently earns €30 million per year, which is a sum which would be increased in his latest deal.
The exact amount is still being discussed, but the Paris side know they need to be generous, but not ridiculously. That is one of the key things in this paratnership, and it is that the Argentinian will earn more. The club already played around with the figures when he came in 2021, and it is a rise that they know they will have to do if the Argentine is to stay.
As for the length of time, there are three options. PSG want to tie Leo down for the next two seasons, which means the player, who does not seem to want to commit for so long, could opt for another year after. Therefore, the third option is gaining traction, which would offer a contract until 2024, with the option to sign for another season if he desires.
