The Mexican Football Federation announced on Friday that the Mexican national team will face Valencia on October 12 in a friendly at the Cuauhtemoc Stadium in Puebla.
In a press release, the FMF confirmed the duel with which coach Javier Aguirre will prepare for the CONCACAF Nations League, which he will face in November.
The match will take place on the October FIFA date, in which the Mexicans will play the United States a few days later, on the 15th, at the Akron Stadium (Guadalajara). Before facing Valencia, the Aztecs have two games in September against New Zealand and Canada.
The match against the New Zealanders will be Aguirre's debut, in his third stint with Mexico, who he coached at the 2002 and 2010 World Cups, and will now take charge of the 2026 World Cup, which Mexico will host along with the United States and Canada.
