Milan consider paying Dest's buyout option

Sergino Dest left Barcelona after two seasons in which he failed to justify the 21 million euros paid to Ajax for him. That is why he went on loan to Milan, where he is trying to relaunch his career. For the moment, he has not succeeded and the World Cup in Qatar has been a great opportunity for him to delight the 'Rossoneri' who could buy him at the end of the season.
'Corriere dello Sport' reports that the Italian club are delighted with the full-back's performances for the US national team. He has already been eliminated by the defeat against the Netherlands in the round of 16, but was a starter in this match and in the three previous ones against Iran -he provided an assist-, England and Wales. It won't be long before he is available for training with his club again.
The Italian club, because of the youngster's good work in the international tournament, are seriously considering paying the 20 million euro option to keep him for the long term. This would be welcomed at the Camp Nou, where they do not want him to return, as Xavi Hernandez has plenty of alternatives in whom he has much more confidence.
The situation is ideal for Dest because he will be able to relaunch his career by making use of the faith that Milan could have in him. In order to earn a long-term contract, he will have to work hard in the second half of the Serie A campaign. So far, he has played nine games in which he has only started two, so there is room for improvement.
