Real Madrid's Brazilian defender Eder Militao will testify next Tuesday at 12.30 p.m. at Valencia Court of Instruction number 10 - via video conference from Madrid - as a victim, as will his teammate Vinicus Jr, for the alleged racist insults received in May at Valencia's Mestalla stadium.
This statement follows the request made by the legal representation of La Liga, which is a private prosecutor in the case, for the investigation to be extended to the alleged racially abusive expressions that Militao may have suffered.
On 26 May, Valencia court number 10 opened an investigation into the racist insults Vinicius reported receiving during the Valencia-Real Madrid Liga 2022-23 match and summoned three young Valencia fans aged between 18 and 21, who are currently charged with a hate crime and have been banned for life by the Mestalla club.
Months later, in July, La Liga provided the judge with a written statement detailing the insults to which the Brazilian defender was subjected, and requested that he be offered legal action as a victim, an action that will materialise at next Tuesday's hearing.
