Thibaut Courtois and David Alaba, both out with knee injuries, were the only absentees for Carlo Ancelotti in Real Madrid's final training session the day before they host Athletic Club at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday.
Eder Militao started the session with his teammates. It was a good feeling for the centre-back, who is in the final stages of his recovery after seven and a half months after suffering a cruciate ligament tear in his left knee.
Also in the squad was Vinicius Junior, who will not be able to play against Athletic due to an accumulation of cards after picking up a fifth yellow card in the last game against Osasuna.
As for Militao, Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that he will return to the squad after 232 days recovering from his anterior cruciate ligament injury in his left knee. In fact, he said he is not ruled out starting against Manchester City in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final.
"Militao is back on Sunday, which is the most important news. Obviously he's not 100 per cent. He lacks football, but he has recovered very well from the injury. It's very good news for us. We were unlucky with Courtois' injury, but I hope he will be back soon," Ancelotti told reporters.
