Milan midfielder Yunus Musah said Tuesday that he is looking forward to facing Real Madrid's Croatian midfielder Luka Modric again on the eve of Wednesday's friendly against the club in Chicago.
"It was nice to play against him in La Liga and it's going to be nice to face him. He's a great player, definitely a player you have to learn from," Musah said at the conference organized at Soldier Field in Chicago.
Musah has already played against Modric during his time at Valencia, where he played from 2020 to 2023, before joining Milan. The American was happy to compete in his homeland and for Milan's new sporting project with Portuguese coach Paulo Fonseca.
“The coach asks me to help in the game's build-up, he wants me to have fun with the ball,” said the American in his brief speech. He also assured that he does not have a favorite team in the NFL, but that he appreciates quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Justin Jefferson.
