Although the Euro 2024 quarter-final between Spain and Germany ended last Friday with a victory for 'La Roja', there are those who want this match to be repeated because of the performance of referee Anthony Taylor. The referee was not up to the task of dispensing justice in a match of such magnitude.
That is what thousands of German fans think, who promoted a petition on the platform 'Change.org' for a replay of the match because the referee did not sanction a handball by Cucurella as a penalty. The action took place during extra time and the referee did not award a penalty to the Germans because Fullkrug's handball was involved in the previous play.
However, the German fans were moved and it is worth mentioning that there are already more than 300,000 signatories - according to 'AS' - who not only want a replay, but also an investigation into Anthony Taylor's neutrality and an appropriate punishment from UEFA.
